Summary

Half Day CBD is a relatively new company in the market, quickly gaining a foothold among the younger demographic due to its branding and transparency. With a complete seed to sale model being adopted by the company, product quality is unsurprisingly excellent with a homely finish.

They offer a range of full-spectrum hemp oils, gummies, and salves. All products are made from organic American grown hemp and undergo third-party lab testing. Their subscription model, though, is probably the company’s most envied attribute – you can save up to 35% on purchases by opting for a subscription.

As a result of their partnership with Stoney Branch growers, a family-owned business from Illinois, Half Day CBD is one of the few companies able to offer their customers the highly popular Hemp Flowers. They have less than 0.3% THC yet are smokable and faster acting.

Pros

A diverse range of high-quality products

Hemp flowers and Pre-rolled joints

Transparent, ethical manufacturing processes

Cons

Products can be expensive if you don’t sign up for a subscription

Other than gummies, products are available in just a single flavor

Company

Founded in 2019 by two friends turned entrepreneurs, Dave DiCosola and Kameron Norwood, the company is involved right from the cultivation and manufacturing of hemp to sale and distribution of CBD products.

The founders were quite adamant from the initial start-up days that their brand would be carefully curated with hemp-derived products that have been proven to help manage pain, anxiety, stress, and sleep issues.

Based out of Chicago, every aspect of the company is carefully looked after. From cultivation and extraction to flavoring and bottling to testing and sales, nothing is left to chance, or outsourced to cut costs. Even their products are conceptualized through an amalgamation of ideas from consumers and healthcare professionals.

Products

As a CBD company that just entered the market, it’s understandable Half Day CBD does not have a vast product line.  Still, their Gummies are one of the best we’ve tasted of late, and not many brands offer full hemp flowers for which they need to be commended for.

  • CBD oil: Full spectrum CBD oil available in concentrations of 500mg, 1000mg and 2000mg. They are free from artificial flavors and hold natural terpenes with a mixture of coconut and MCT oil and less than 0.3% THC. Isolate tincture is the extra strength formula for seasoned users. It comes in a 30ml bottle with 2000mg CBD per bottle, and 68mg CBD per ml.

  • Gummies: in our opinion, Half Day CBD’s best product, gummies come in 15/30 count bottles with 25mg CBD per gummy. They are available in exciting flavors of blissful berry, super strawberry, cold brew coffee, sugar plum, lemonade, blackberry mint, sour apple, pina colada, orange, watermelon, peach, and cherry.

  • Topicals: 2oz full spectrum CBD salve has 350mg CBD content and is available orange spice flavor. It helps to soothe, smoothen, and promote skin health.

  • Hemp Flowers: Smokable and faster active hemp flowers are available in two versions of either Sativa or Indica. These are the purest forms of CBD you can consume. Each flower has 3.5g of CBD. The company also offers hemp flower-based pre-rolled joints; these are 100% legal.

  • CBD for pets: Bacon flavored CBD oil tinctures with 500mg concentration can be purchased for your pets.

Price

  • Full spectrum Oil – $35.99 – $125.99
  • Isolate oil – $99.99
  • CBD gummies (15/30 count)- $19.99/$39.99
  • Hemp salves – $39.99
  • Hemp flower – $19.99
  • Pre-rolled Joints – $7.50

Half Day CBD offers a subscription plan where you could save as much as 35% on your product purchases. For instance, CBD gummies, which cost $40, can be purchased for $26 through their subscription model.

Manufacturing

Half Day CBD sources all its hemp from organic farms in Kentucky. They are committed to supporting American farmers and processors and use the supercritical CO2 extraction process. From seed to sale, complete information- plant origin, processing method, bottling information, and more—is made available for consumer’s perusal.

Testing

All products are batch tested, and results made available on their website. Independent third-party testing service by ProVerde Laboratories is employed for the same purpose. They are renowned for their scientific precision, ensuring the accuracy and safety of cannabidiol content, pesticide, chemicals, terpenes, and other compounds.

Shipping

The company currently only ships within the United States with 2-4 days shipping time, and a flat $4.99 fee. They also offer free shipping for orders over $99.

Buying Experience

The website is quite inviting with warm, fresh colors. Buying a product is pretty simple, with a one-click process being implemented. We would appreciate alternate payment methods like PayPal in the future, though.

They also offer quality satisfaction, and a 30-day refund for any product you find to be up to your expectations. Customer support can be reached through mail and phone.

Conclusion

While Half Day CBD is a new brand, their products can stand up against established players. The product quality is top-notch, and transparency could put many existing brands to shame.

If they could expand their product line, and improve their marketing strategy, we feel Half Day could grow manifold in the coming years.
